WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Goal: Change thinking to change behavior
To increase performance, we must change behavior. We change behavior by changing the thinking. Our seminars are based upon an interactive, discovery-based model of cognitive intervention for learning:
- Problem-solving and vigorous discussion in pairs and small groups;
- Then, sharing of insights with whole group;
- After each module, the voluntary sharing of feelings—positive or negative—in “Step Up to the Mike.”
The microphone serves as a tool for self-expression in a safe place and builds self-confidence. Upon conclusion of the training, each business client completes a training effectiveness evaluation at designated intervals to assess changes taking place over time. In addition, coaching for seminar participants is available via phone or email for a limited period of time.
WHAT PROBLEMS ARE WE SOLVING
Goal: Increase productivity
Today the American workforce faces new challenges such as increasing racial and cultural diversity, an ageing workforce with fewer people retiring, and adjustments regarding sexual orientation and religious practices. Arising complications impact employee and customer relationships, and ultimately the bottom line:
- What behaviors are you getting, but do not necessarily want? Research indicates that you get the behavior you reward. How can you break undesirable patterns?
- What conflicts are arising and how are they affecting the overall morale of the organization?
- What kind of work ethic prevails in your organization? What would you like to see change about employee performance?
- How much time are managers spending in counseling employees relative to personal or family issues?
